Dr. Kirsten Huston - Practice Owner
Dr. Kirsten Huston purchased Woodmoor Veterinary Hospital in May 2007. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington State University in 1997. After practicing in Washington State for 10 years, Dr. Huston and her kids decided to move to beautiful Colorado. She believes in practicing the best medicine and creating an environment in which her clients and staff feel comfortable and appreciated. Dr. Huston especially enjoys getting to know her patients and their human families.
When not at the hospital, Dr. Huston likes camping, traveling, reading, and spending time with her four children, three dogs, and cats. She is never one to miss out on a good laugh and has worked to create a fun, friendly atmosphere at the hospital.

Dr. Lianne Baker
Dr. Lianne Baker has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1997. She attended the University of Virginia and graduated with Bachelor’s Degrees in Biology and Chemistry and graduated with Distinction. She then attended Ontario College, University of Guelph in Canada and graduated with Distinction from the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program where she achieved the Dean’s List Honors each semester.
Dr. Baker and her husband, Brad, spend the majority of their free time raising their two young daughters. They enjoy hiking and Dr. Baker also competes in mountain biking events. At the clinic she is the sweetest person you'll ever meet and loves to educate her clients.

Dr. Ivy Rohlwing
Dr. Ivy Rohlwing grew up in Iowa, eventually turning her childhood hobby of bringing home wounded animals into a career. She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine both at Iowa State University. She enjoys working with both pets and their owners throughout all stages of a pet's life. Dr. Ivy moved to Colorado with her husband in 2015, and spends her free time hiking, biking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She looks forward to meeting you and the furry members of your family. |
Technical Staff

Alida, VT - Lead Technician
Alida has been in the veterinary field for more than two decades now - working with large domestics to reptiles and avian, if you can name it she probably has cared for it. Alida spent most of her career in the Bay Area of California, where she was a docent at the Oakland Zoo, and moved here with her family in 2016.
In her free time she loves to go off-roading and kayaking with her husband and two daughters. Care and comfort is her focus, with a happy, healthy pet as her end goal. She really found a home here at Woodmoor Veterinary Hospital and she can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends!

Diana, VA/ Lead Kennel Tech
Diana is originally from Lares, Puerto Rico. She has 3 cats at home and enjoys drawing and painting in her free time. Diana is a great addition to our team. She has moved to Veterinary Assistant in our practice and is doing amazing! She loves on every pet that comes in!

Samantha, VT
Samantha is one of our technicians that joined our team in February 2021. She was raised and still lives in Southern Colorado Springs. Since witnessing her first veterinary surgery at the age of 9, animals were always a passion and a lifelong dream. Samantha has worked in emergency and shelter medicine before coming and settling with us. On her down time she enjoys relaxing with her animals, exploring more of Colorado in her jeep, and everything in-between.

She lives out east in the beautiful country with her husband and an exuberant household with 3 dogs-Bexley, Paxton and Goliath and two spicy felines- Ruca and Dabby. Her pride and joys are her two blonde horses Nash and Finley. Sara also barrel races, and raises bucking bulls.

Shelly, CCS - Front Office Manager
Shelly has been in Colorado since 2001. Much of her free time is spent lovingly caring for her horses, four dogs and assorted cats. Besides caring for all her critters, Shelly has also been known to help care for her neighbor’s animals! Dedicated to Woodmoor since 2004, she enjoys horseback riding, rodeos and shoe shopping. Shelly is also an active member of the Kit Carson Riding Club, too!
As an animal lover she had always wanted to work at a veterinary hospital. Her favorite part of the job is loving on all of the animals while they wait for their visits. Shelly is the friendly face at our front desk that everyone knows and we are so pleased to have her with us.

She is passionate about animals and hopes to one day open a dog training facility with her sister. When not at work Alexa enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her family and 3 pups Tilley, Bella, and Ava.

Kara recently moved to Colorado from Texas where she was a vet tech for 6 years. She has 2 cats, a bearded dragon, fish and a pup named Kade. In her spare time she loves going to the movies, camping, and just being outside.

Jess has been apart of the Woodmoor family since February 2021. She is a recent graduate from Lewis Palmer High School, and is currently perusing a degree in Zoo keeping Technology. Jess has a passion for helping animals and hopes to continue with this career. When not at work she loves spending time with her pup (Ishi) and cat (Little Joe). |

Carly, Kennel Tech
Carly moved to Colorado with her family in 2007 and has been involved with the hospital ever since. She loves meeting all the unique animals that come to boarding. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, drawing, making music, and playing video games.

Alexander, Kennel Tech
Born in Independence, Missouri, Alex moved to Colorado in 2012 where he discovered his passion for animal care. In 2018, he graduated from PPCC with a degree in Zookeeping Technology and left for Missouri to build experience in the field. Alex has worked at multiple vet hospitals and volunteered as an animal keeper at the Kansas City Zoo before eventually returning to Colorado for more opportunities to build on his skills.
When not working, Alex likes to relax with a good book, write, or spend time with his family and his dog Smokey. His motto is “To live is to laugh!”
