Dr. Serna earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis. Shortly after graduating, she embarked on a long journey to Australia with her two dogs. While in Australia, she met her wonderful husband and went on to complete her Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland. After practicing veterinary medicine in Australia for three years, she returned to Southern California, where she continued practicing for another two years.

Dr. Serna later made her way to Colorado to be closer to family. She has special interests in preventive health and end-of-life care. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two-year-old daughter, and their five pets—Davis, Clemson, Harvey, Squishy, and Flash.
